St. Joseph Twp. (incnow.tv) - The president of the St. Joseph Township Fire Department's Board of Directors says he's resigning but the department's chief says he was voted out.
Robert Grayless announced Tuesday, in a letter to the media that he's stepping down because of the "unprofessional and disrespectful actions of Chief Gerald Lencke."
When called for comment Chief Lencke said the general body of the department voted 19-1 to expel Grayless at a meeting Monday night citing dereliction of duty and conduct that doesn't comply with their bylaws.
Grayless didn't return INC’s call for comment Tuesday.
