INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The Indiana State Fair Commission announced Wednesday that it will issue a third payment to the stage collapse accident victims.
The additional $114,301 come from the charitable relief fund set up for victims.
To date, more than $1.09 million has been contributed to the fund.
Payments from the relief fund are a gift from donors and are not considered as compensation for injuries or death resulting from the accident.
The estates of deceased victims have received a total of $68,241 from the fund to date, and injured eligible claimants have received total payments of $48,796 to $6,525, depending upon the duration of hospitalization.
