Indiana (www.incnow.tv) - By a 9 to 2 vote the State Board of Education approved changes to Indiana's teacher licensing requirements.
The changes were backed by outgoing Republican state schools Superintendent Tony Bennett which makes it easier for college graduates to obtain teacher licenses without completing teacher training programs.
Incoming Superintendent Glenda Ritz had asked the board to delay action on the issue until after she takes office next month.
