By Nicole Hahn

Fort Wayne, Indiana (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Several organizations are offering statements on the deaths of Stephen and Kim Hatch and the injuries to Austin Hatch.

University of Michigan: Men’s Basketball Coach John Beilein

"We are saddened to hear about another tragedy that has affected the Hatch family," said Beilein. "Austin needs as much support right now as possible and I know he will be in the thoughts and prayers of the Michigan family during this difficult time."

Canterbury School:

"It is with deep sadness that the Canterbury community has learned of the deaths of Kim and Steve Hatch, parents of Austin '13, in a plane crash in Michigan on Friday evening. Austin was also in the plane and is hospitalized in serious condition. This is all the school knows at this time. Please keep Austin and his family in your thoughts and prayers."

Lutheran Health Network: Todd C. Rumsey, Chairman, Dupont Hospital Board of Directors

"On behalf of the Dupont Hospital family, its board and the entire Lutheran Health Network, we wish to share our deepest condolences with the family of Dr. Stephen Hatch and his wife Kim. Our thoughts and prayers are also with their son Austin as he fights to recover from his injuries. Steve's impact on Dupont Hospital as a physician partner and member of its board doesn't even begin to tell the entire story of how important he was to this community and how much his loss saddens us all. Steve will be remembered professionally as an outstanding caregiver and an innovator who placed the needs of the patient above all else. More importantly, he was an outstanding father, husband and friend whose legacy will live on."
