INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Progress has been made on the latest attempt to institute a statewide smoking ban.
A house committee passed the bill Wednesday and sent it to the full chamber.
The measure calls for banning smoking in most public places, including bars.
But exceptions are being made for casinos, pari-mutuel betting parlors, private clubs and smoking bars.
The bill is similar to one that failed last year, but supporters are confident it will pass this year.
