FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Power crews worked throughout Northeast Indiana on Wednesday to restore power to hundreds of customers.

As of 8 p.m., 710 Indiana-Michigan Powers customers are in the dark.

The lion share of outages--600 customers--are in the Butler and Avilla areas. I&M officials say power should be restored there by noon Thursday.

In Fort Wayne, 100 people are without power. They can expect to have electricity again by 3 p.m. Thursday.

Power for a handful of customers of I&M customers in Decatur should be restored by 10 p.m. Wednesday, I&M reports.

Anyone who encounters downed power lines is asked to stay away from them, and to contact authorities.
