Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – One Fort Wayne Community Schools’ student has designed the new FWCS mobile app.

At a press conference held Wednesday morning, FWCS officials and Blackhawk Middle School student Chance McKibben unveiled the new app. The app is designed to allow users to receive important notices, such as weather delays and cancellations or emergency notifications, send messages to FWCS and pay for school meals and textbooks.

Chance began developing mobile apps when his brother, who is a professional photographer, wanted an app to be able to show clients proofs on the go. Chance quickly realized there were other organizations, including FWCS, that could use his technology.
