FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – What can you make with 100 popsicle sticks and Elmer's glue? For area middle school students, their ability to build bridges from these everyday items was put to the test.

Science Central hosted their 15th annual middle school Bridge Design Competition on Saturday.

Bridges built by individual students and teams were subjected to stress tests to see how much pressure their projects can bear.

The bridge building competition challenges students in the areas of engineering, design, science and creativity.
