WASHINGTON, DC (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Marlin Stutzman is taking on some new responsibilities on Capitol Hill as he begins his second month in office.
News partner WNDU reports the Republican Stutzman has been appointed to two House panels. He will serve on the Agriculture Committee, appropriate since he was a farmer in northern Indiana, and on the Committee on the Budget.
Stutzman was sworn in one month ago today to fill the 3rd District seat. He is serving out the rest of former Congressman Mark Souder's term this year. Stutzman will begin his first full two-year term in January.
