INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Country duo Sugarland was named in a lawsuit filed by 48-victims from the Indiana State fair stage collapse, making it the largest claim yet tied to the tragedy.
The lawsuit was filed Tuesday by 44-survivors and family members of four people who died in the August 13th tragedy.
One attorney says the band's contract said they had the final say on whether the concert could have been canceled due to weather.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages from Sugarland and 12-other defendants, including producers and stage riggers.
Seven people were killed and more than 40-others injured after a stage rigging collapsed into the audience following a strong gust of wind.
