Suspect Who Used a Bat Charged with Murder

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A murder charge has been filed against a Fort Wayne man accused of using a baseball bat to kill his victim.

Manuel Silva was arrested on Clinton Street Wednesday afternoon after being released on bail on the original charge of aggravated battery.

Silva is accused of beating 39-year-old Christopher Deaton to death in a Bass Street home last week.
