Suspected Murderer In Custody

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) – Fort Wayne Police have arrested a suspect for a rape - homicide.

50-year-old Edward Kinslow is being held without bail, charged with murder, felony murder and rape.

Officers arrested him at his home in the 4600 block of east Washington Boulevard Tuesday.

In May, concerned family and friends called police to check on 46-year-old Darlene Day, who hadn't been seen for a while.

Officers found her body in a home in the 3400 block of Alexander Street.

The coroner said she died from blunt force trauma.

Police say Kinslow and Day had known each other for a long time.

Detectives questioned him about Day's murder early in the investigation, but were just recently able to develop enough information to arrest him.
