TSA Policy for Patdown Screenings of Children Will Change

WASHINGTON (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - After a massive public outcry, the Transportation Security Administration is changing its rules on how screeners should search children at airports.

The head of the TSA says airport security screeners must try to avoid pat-down searches of children by making optional attempts to screen them available.

The policy change comes after public outrage in April over video that showed a six-year-old girl undergoing a pat-down in New Orleans.
