Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The jury in the child abuse case of Michael Combs found him guilty on all four counts on Thursday.

Combs' mother, Catherine Holland, said, "My son is innocent, he dosen't, that's not him, he's not violent to people, or children, especially children."

He was found guilty of child molesting, two counts of neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury and battery resulting in bodily injury.

The charges stem from 2010 when authorities discovered a 2-year-old with more than 70 bruises and other injuries, and an infant with a broken femur.

The testimonies resumed on Wednesday and Combs stood accused of abusing his ex-girlfriend's two young boys.

An investigation officer took the stand and described seeing the 2-year-old boy dirty in need of a diaper change. When given permission to change the young boy's diaper, he saw blood inside.

Combs' sister, Anna Hogan, took the stand and testified she walked in on Combs and the boy in a sexual position. She also said she did not tell police because she does not like them.

Hogan and Shanna Vorndran, the children's mother, pleaded guilty to two counts each of neglect in the case.

Although the jury is out his family still claims his sister Anna Hogan is at fault.

"I know my sister, my sister is Anna Hogan, and I know she's lying," said Imo Jene Combs, Combs' sister.

Combs is set to be back in court in August for his sentencing.

The trial for a Fort Wayne man charged in a horrific case of child abuse began Tuesday morning.

26-year-old Michael Combs is charged with child molesting, two counts of neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury and battery resulting in bodily injury.

The case involves the infant and two-year-old sons of his then-girlfriend, back in 2010.

Tuesday his lawyer didn’t argue that the children were abused, but argued that Combs isn’t responsible. He instead continued to point blame at Anna Hogan, Combs sister. Hogan lived with Combs and the children‘s mother, Shanna Vorndran, and frequently babysat the two young boys.

Vorndran was first to take the stand Tuesday afternoon. She was crying as she was questioned by the prosecutors and Combs’ defense attorney about her whereabouts when her children were abused.

In September 2010 Vorndran took her then infant son to the hospital. Tuesday, during opening statements, the prosecuting attorney explained that child had a broken femur that had happened many hours before she sought medical treatment.

The prosecuting attorney also said her 2-year-old son had 75 bruises, injuries around his anus, and other unmentionable injuries.

Hogan and Vorndran have already pleaded guilty to two counts of neglect.
