FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Do some high schools 'buy' football championships ?

This year, six out of the ten teams vying in Indiana state high school championships are from parochial schools.

In the last fifty state championship games, 40 of those teams were parochial schools. IHSAA officials acknowledge that parochial schools might have a competitive edge and maybe it's time to tweak the system.

Those same officials tell Indiana's NewsCenter that they will explore ideas after the first of the year that would try to level the playing field.

But is it unfair? Even necessary? You decide. Watch Jeff Neumeyer's special report tonight "A Class Above" on WPTA 21Alive at 6pm.
