Two Local Banks Merge into Newly Named Bank

Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Grabill and Markle Banks officially merged Tuesday morning, marked by a ribbon-cutting.

The consolidation of the two also created a new bank name, iAB Financial.

This branch is located in the Northbrook Shopping Center at the southeast corner of Lima and Dupont Roads.

iAB President and CEO Mike Marhenke says, “We don't have an outside bank buying one of the local banks and putting their products and services into our community. We have two local banks that have basically merged their philosophies, which are very similar."

Bank managers say the merger allows for larger customer loans and expanded product development.

Customers can also expect to see the same employees as before.
