BLUFFTON, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The Bluffton fire occurred right next door to the Wells County Courthouse and it put an abrupt end to a murder sentencing.
About half-way through the Tyler White sentencing, flames were visible from the courtroom window. The judge recessed the trial as power was cut to the courthouse.
Before that took place, Amy White's parents both read emotional statements asking the judge for the maximum sentence of 85-years and accusing Tyler White of having "no remorse" for shooting their pregnant daughter two-years ago. The sentencing is being rescheduled.
