Unions Asking for Restraining Order Against State to Prevent Right-to-Work Enforcement

INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A union is seeking to block Indiana's new Right-to-Work law by asking a federal judge to grant a temporary restraining order keeping the state from enforcing the law.

The federal judge will hold a hearing on Monday in Hammond on the motion for a temporary restraining order.

The law bans labor contracts that require workers to pay union fees.

The union says that the law will cause irreparable harm and is seeking a preliminary injunction hearing as soon as possible.
