FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A one-time deadline for Harrison Square to break ground by the end of November is fast approaching and while that groundbreaking hasn't been set, it appears the project is closer to that step.

Work recently started to prepare the area and that work continued Monday morning.

The redevelopment commission has approved the new agreement between the city and the Harrison’s new private investor group.

A groundbreaking could be announced in the coming days for the $18.5-million development that will add apartment and retail space.
