FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) -- For the second year in a row, IPFW and Ivy Tech honored veterans with a flag ceremony.
Administrators from both schools thanked veterans for their service.
This was followed by a presentation of the colors by ROTC members.
Organizers said this year was even more special since it fell on a year ending in eleven.
Jo Vaughan, Military Student Services for IPFW says, “It's also important to recognize not only the sacrifices that they make on a daily basis to serve our country but also the sacrifices of their family members who have to give them up and let them go away to serve our country.”
A moment of silence was held during the ceremony at 11:11 this morning.
