BLUFFTON, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Mourners gathered in Bluffton to pay their final respects to the family of a little boy shot to death last week.
4-year-old Jake Michuda's funeral is being held at Lancaster Elementary School.
Hundreds attended a visitation for him on Tuesday.
Bluffton Mayor Ted Ellis says, "In a small community like Bluffton, most all of us know someone who is connected when a tragedy occurs like this, so when one hurts, we all hurt."
Jacob died Friday night when a bullet struck him in the head while he and his father were fishing at a pond in Ossian.
Meanwhile, 46-year-old Bruce Pond is being held in Wells County in connection with the death. His bail is set at $100,000.
Police say Pond was intoxicated when he fired a gun towards the boy and his father, who were fishing off of a pier in Ossian around 11:00 p.m. Friday night.
