Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The 2012 Air Show is predicted to draw a large crowd over the Labor Day weekend. Airport Authority officials would like to alert passengers of proposed road closures, working entrances, and heavy traffic.

Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA) patrons are asked to enter the airport using only Ardmore Avenue between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, September 1-2. Ardmore Avenue, beginning at Airport Expressway, will be used for one-way traffic only - the left lane will be designated for airport patrons and the right lane will be used for air show parking.

To exit the airport, turn right on Ferguson Road and continue to Airport Drive or Bluffton Road.

Commercial air traffic will not be impacted and will operate a normal schedule during the air show. Typically, the airlines serving FWA recommend passengers arrive 90 minutes before their flight. Over Labor Day weekend, they recommend arriving two hours before departure.
