WASHINGTON (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The White House Correspondents' Association Dinner is one of the biggest events all year in the beltway.

Politicians, members of the media and celebrities come together for a jovial night of glitz and glamor at the Washington Hilton.

This year's headliner was comedian and late night talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel. Kimmel skewered everyone from President Obama to Republicans to the Secret Service.

President Obama stepped to the microphone, too, roasting Mitt Romney, Congress and himself. The president broke tradition, delivering his jokes at the beginning of the program.

The White House Correspondents' Dinner started in 1920, and has become a night of brevity in an often contentious nation's capital.
