FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) -- Whitley County officials invited experts on wind farms to share recommendations with the public, in case the farms are allowed.
A Purdue renewable energy specialist said noise would be an issue with wind turbines sounding like the hum of a home refrigerator. He also said economic development could result because Whitley County has promising wind availability.
