INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- Learning curves are something all of us experience when new challenges come our way. It can be a steep learning curve for newly elected members of the Indiana House of Representatives
It raises to another level when that person is in his mid-twenties and the youngest lawmaker in the building.
That's the position Republican Representative David Ober from Kendallville finds himself in. There are lots of issues that can capture a legislators attention here. Ober is focused mostly on slowing the brain drain in the Hoosier State.
There have been a number of colleagues who stepped up as mentors for Ober. One of them is Fort Wayne Democratic lawmaker Phil Giaquinta, who has observed and aided a few new kids on the block.
In the second half Ober, like other lawmakers, will zone in on passage of a new two-year budget. He's also excited come 2014 about passing from freshman to sophomore.
