BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) - Bloomington Hospital has signed an agreement to merge with Clarian Health Partners.
Hospital president and CEO Mark Moore says the merger is expected to be completed in 18 months.
Clarian Health Partners includes Methodist Hospital, Indiana University Hospital and Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
Indiana University President Michael McRobbie, who is on Clarian Health's board of directors, says the merger would bring the expertise of IU's School of Medicine to every corner of the state.
Moore says the merger will not affect long-range plans to renovate the 385-bed hospital or move to a new location in Bloomington.
