FORT WAYNE, Ind., (Indiana'sNewsCenter)-- Half the battle of starting a new fitness routine is having somewhere to go.

And in the past few years that's become a lot easier thanks to our continually growing trail system.

The trails have become a key component in the success of Fort 4 Fitness as it's opened up a whole new venue for anyone of any age.

In this segment we take you to the Towpath Trail.

It is currently under construction from Rockhill Park to Ardmore and Taylor, and is completed from Ardmore and Taylor to a spot north of Engle Road.

Aboite New Trails, Inc. has raised over $1.6 million toward this project.

According to ANT's executive director, Lori Keys, they are are now just $200,000 short of funding the final link to Lutheran Hospital, which will connect all the trails in western Allen County with central Fort Wayne and New Haven.

Fort 4 Fitness is September 26th and it's time to start training.

You decide which path is better, the 4 mile walk/run or the half marathon.

Get registered today for something that will most certainly impact your tomorrow.

You can find complete training schedules by clicking on the Fort4Fitness icon.
