INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - National Weather Service crews are heading to southern Indiana to determine whether storm damage was caused by
a tornado.
Severe thunderstorms packing high winds raked much of Indiana on
Sunday, tossing a school bus onto a building in Fayetteville, about 70 miles south of Indianapolis. Lawrence County officials say 19 houses were damaged and three were destroyed.
The National Weather Service has already confirmed one tornado in northeast Indiana. That funnel cloud was spotted near the Wabash and Whitley county lines.
Local emergency management agencies reported minor damage
elsewhere in the state, but there were no reports of serious injuries. Power crews were working Monday to restore limited power outages.
