FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - “Life’s Better Here,” the very popular ‘hometown’ series from Indiana’s NewsCenter returns for the summer with visits to cities and towns where every town has its own charm, traditions and lore, made special by its people and places.

Beginning next Wednesday, June 8th and continuing every Wednesday through August 24th, Indiana’s NewsCenter at 5 on 21Alive invites you to come along for the ride as we hit the road to highlight the towns and communities in Northeast Indiana that make “Life Better Here.”

Again this year, veteran news anchor and reporter Eric Olson is joined by meteorologist Jason Meyers who together show you what makes these communities special: from the town’s history, to the town’s future to the best recreational spots around. Perfect for the summer!

And you’ll have the opportunity each Wednesday to win a basket packed with coupons and gifts -- but you’ll have to watch Indiana’s NewsCenter at 5 for details.

From rich historic and recreational locations to festivities, shopping and hidden gems, see what makes “Life Better Here” in Northeastern Indiana. Our first stop: Fremont in Steuben County.
