FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Yesterday, Chris Daniels suggested we blame the lack of a white Christmas on Whoville's green outsider. But according to the latest forecast models, the Grinch's heart appears to have grown a size or two... or three.
As of the most recent model run, a developing system will move through the area, bringing with it a chance for some light snow on Christmas Eve. According to the loosest definitions of a White Christmas, this may suffice.
In the last 100 years, Fort Wayne has seen measurable snowfall on 30 Christmas days, about 30 percent of the time. The last time we saw a Christmas without snow on the ground was 2007.
