FORT WAYNE, Ind. (NBC33) - Classic car collectors got an early sampling of this summer's Auburn Cord Deusenberg Festival when the "Hoosier Tour" made a stop in Fort Wayne on Tuesday.
About 40 cars were on display at GM's Fort Wayne Assembly Plant for employees and the public to enjoy. Drivers and collectors stopped in town before heading off to Peru and Kokomo.
Collectors made it from across the country to take part in the ACD Festival's tour.
"Everyone likes to come here because I don't think there is any other place that has the original factory headquarters in such a really tight-knit club, and with a city gets behind it," says James Bartlett of Tomball, TX. "So it's just a wonderful experience coming here every year."
Bartlett is the proud owner of a 1935 Auburn supercharged convertible.
The "Hoosier Tour" is a group of Auburn, Cord and Deusenberg owners who meet prior to the ACD Festival held this weekend in Auburn.
