(www.nbc33.com) -- They're a couple who shares everything and now they are planning a lifetime together, even in this dog-eat-dog world.

Helena Axelrod and Anna Montgomery are planning the July wedding for Sconset and Tiger, their dogs who run, play and cuddle together. Those on the guest list can't quite believe the invitation to the nuptials of this unconventional couple.

"At first they think it's a joke, and then when they realize it's serious they're excited about it," Axelrod said. But Montogomery admits that her friends have gotten on her back about her marrying her dog.

The wedding will be overseen by a minister and the couple will trade in their dog license for a wedding license.

Montgomery and her boyfriend, Axelrod's son, first joked about a dog wedding after seeing one on reality TV. This wedding fantasy became reality, complete with an engagement announcement in the paper and the family's longing for a summer event that would put a smile on their faces.
