Honored For Heroic Work During Ambulance Shooting At Pierre's (NBC33 VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (NBC33) -- Fort Wayne Fire Fighter, Eric Zeigler, was presented with the Heroic Rescue Award Thursday.

He received the award for his actions on the night when someone opened fire on an ambulance carrying a stabbing victim from Pierre's. He was honored in addition to two EMTs, Diana Lantz and Jeromy Yadon.

All three rescued the victim from the dangerous scene while showing courage and bravery.
