6 Year Old Dies in Off-Road Vehicle Accident

MARKLE, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- An ATV accident in Markle, has left one child dead and another injured.

Around 8:30 last night a seven-year old girl was driving an ATV with a six-year old passenger. Both children were thrown from the ATV when they took a corner and lost control of the vehicle.

The six year old boy was pronounced dead at the scene. The girl was taken to Lutheran Hospital, treated for minor injuries and released.

Neither child was wearing a helmet.
