Komets Zamboni Driver Upholds Bet, Bids Bye-Bye to Beard

Fort Wayne (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Flanked by Komets mascot Icy and Majic 95.1-WAJI's Dirk, zamboni driver Paul Hollabaugh had his beard shaved off.

Paul was fulfilling his end of a bet that he would lose the beard if the Komets won the Turner Cup, which they did. The K's beat Port Huron 3-2 at the Memorial Coliseum just after midnight Tuesday.

So early this morning, Paul showed up at Studio Nine on Lima Road for the big shave, ending more than 20 years of beardedness.

The first trimmings were made live on the air on Majic 95.1 and thanks to videographer Jeff Bowman, as Mary Collins and Ryan Elijah looked on during Indiana's NewsCenter Today
