FORT WAYNE, IN (Indiana's News Center)---In these tough economic times, finding and keeping a job can be difficult.
One solution for some people is temporary work.
In business since 1998 in Fort Wayne Labor Works is a different type of temporary employment agency.
In the last few months’ officials with Labor Works say they have seen an increase in the number of people looking for employment.
They usually offer general labor jobs for most anyone that is willing to show up and work.
But unlike a regular temp agency, they provide transportation to and from work and cut a check the same day.
Larry Paulen, Branch Manager: " We lease out our temporary employees to our clients who need to manage the peaks in their work load. So not only do we put out people to work everyday on a daily basis and pay them everyday, but we also provide a cost effective labor solution to the business owner."

Anywhere from 40 to 60 people begin lining up at 4am for their chance to work each day.
