Palin Hints At Future Plans On Facebook

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is expanding on her reasons for deciding to step down.

On her Facebook page, Palin says she feels a "higher calling," and hints at pushing a national agenda along conservative lines. She also says she feels a victim of the media, whose reaction to her resignation she described as "predictable" and out of touch.

A lawyer for Palin is trying to kill talk that she's in any kind of criminal danger. He says he knows of no criminal investigation, and threatens to go after bloggers and publications he says are publishing fraudulent claims.

The governor spent the holiday in Alaska's capital, Juneau, where she was spotted on the sidelines of the city's parade. She was invited to be in the parade, but never responded to organizers. 26th.
