Fort Wayne Driver Hurt In Vehicle Accident

By Natalie Hess

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - An 18-year-old man was transported to Parkview Noble with injuries including a laceration to the head after his vehicle lost control in DeKalb County last night.

Zachary Zuber, of Fort Wayne, was traveling south on State Road 427 around 11 p.m. and failed to obey a stop sign at the interection of County Road 39, according to the DeKalb County Police Department.

Police say Zuber lost control of the 1998 Chevy Blazer he was driving due to speed and the left hand turn he was attempting onto CR 39.

The vehicle entered a ditch, hit an embankment and then continued south. Police records say Zuber sharply corrected his steering which then caused the Blazer to trip and slide across both lanes of CR 39. The vehicle then entered the southeast ditch and rolled over twice before coming to a rest, police say.

Zuber freed himself and walked to the roadway, according to police. He was taken to the hospital due to a laceration to the head and contusions on his face and legs, according to authorities.
