BURLINGTON, IOWA (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Fort Wayne TinCaps wrapped the first ever Midwest League championship in franchise history Thursday night with a 4-3 win at Burlington, sweeping the best of five Championship Series over the Bees 3-0.

Jaff Decker's fifth inning two run homer proved to be the difference in the game.

It gave the TinCaps a 4-0 lead, but the Bees stormed back with three runs in the bottom of the fifth to close the gap to a run.

They got no closer as Mike Watt, followed by Alexis Lara, Zach Herr, Nick Schumacher, and Brad Brach shut things down, Brach fanning Hilton Richardson to end it and start the celebration on the field and in the clubhouse.

It was the team's 101st overall win to cap the greatest year in franchise history.

A championship celebration is planned for Parkview Field Friday night at 6:30 and will have free admission.
