STEUBEN CO., Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - George Ebling of Michigan faces charges in both Michigan and Indiana.

He was arrested in Branch County, MI early Sunday morning following a high-speed pursuit.

Authorities say officers tried to stop Ebling when they caught him driving north in the southbound lanes of I-69 around milemarker 154, at the Pokagon State Park interchange. But instead of stopping, police say Ebling sped up and continued to drive up the southbound lanes with officers in pursuit behind him.

He stayed in the wrong lanes past the state line into Michigan, evaded stop sticks, and kept going until he got off the exit at mile marker 36 in Branch County. Police then stopped Ebling there and arrested him.

Ebling faces charges of resisting law enforcement and reckless driving.

Officials say traffic was very light on I-69 at the time, and no vehicles were struck during the pursuit.
