Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon is to star in a new comedy about the pharmaceutical business "Pharm Girl," entertainment industry reports said Thursday.
The 33-year-old will play a woman who joins a pharmaceutical powerhouse only to see the industry's underbelly as she rises through the company ranks, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Witherspoon scooped an Academy Award in 2006 for her performance in the Johnny Cash biopic "Walk the Line" but has regularly starred in comedies such as 2001 hit "Legally Blonde" and last year's "Four Christmases."
Most recently Witherspoon had a voiced part in the animated hit "Monsters vs Aliens."
