Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine is planning a special tribute concert for the late "King of Pop" in front of Vienna's Schonbrunn Palace, organisers said Tuesday.
"Talks are taking place to get permission from the city of Vienna for this special tribute between September 20 and 27 in front of the Schonbrunn Palace," said Nina Ellend, spokeswoman for World Awards Media in Vienna.
"We hope to get close to 85,000 people," she said, adding that Jermaine Jackson would be in charge of the musical programme.
The exact date of the concert has not yet been fixed but a city official confirmed Tuesday that talks were taking place.
"This tribute concert is dedicated to Michael Jackson's passionate commitments towards peace, tolerance and environmental causes," Jermaine Jackson said on a special website set up for the event.
Jackson died on June 25 aged 50 after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles.
