Brigham Young University's 3rd-ranked basketball team took a hit this week when the school announced that a starting forward had been removed from the basketball team for violating the school's honor code.
Reports came out the next day that Brandon Davies was dismissed after admitting to having sexual relations with his girlfriend.
BYU"s honor code includes a number of banned activities, those include everything from abstaining from alcohol, tobacco and tea to premarital sex.
The Cougars were considered a possible #1 seed in the upcoming NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament before the dismissal. BYU has played one game without Davies, a loss to New Mexico.
