ROANOKE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Wednesday afternoon, 31 cats were rescued from a home in Roanoke that officers say was "un-livable".
An Animal Control Officer said when she came to the Glen Court house, a young woman covered in cat hair opened the door and said: "Please help my cats better than I did".
She said she had 31 cats, officers believe there are more than that inside.
Despite the home's ammonia levels being off the charts most of the cats seemed very healthy and will be up for adoption soon.
The officer said she does not believe the woman will be facing charges.
