SYRACUSE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – A CSX train crashed into a semi-tractor trailer on Thursday as the semi crossed at an at-grade crossing.
Witnesses to the area say the semi was transporting a boat on a “low-boy” trailer when it got stuck at the crossing.
Kosciusko County central dispatch notified CSX of the stuck semi and the train began stopping procedures.
The driver of the semi was not in the cab at the time of the collision.
No injuries were reported.
Damage was estimated between $10,000 and $25,000 on both the trailer and CSX train engine.
