SPENCERVILLE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A 13-year-old girl has died from injuries suffered in a crash Friday morning along SR 1 in DeKalb County.

Aiyana Mills, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday afternoon.

Police say a car driven by Melissa Mills, 33, of Fort Wayne, and an SUV driven by Ashley Crow, 28, of St. Joe, collided head-on.

Aiyana was riding in the backseat of Melissa Mills's car, police say. It is unknown if Aiyana was wearing a seatbelt. Police did not say how or if Aiyana Mills and Melissa Mills were related.

A front seat passenger in Melissa Mills's car, Ryan K. Turner, 45, of Butler, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mills and Crow were taken to a Fort Wayne hospital; police do not know their condition.

Indiana State Police say there have been discrepancies in driver accounts and witness statements, and the results of what caused the crash are still pending.
