ALLEN COUNTY, In. (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- If you haven't yet been convinced about the impact of the drought, these pictures will do it.
Taken this morning by Multimedia Journalist Bob Johnston in west Allen and eastern Whitley Counties, the devastating impact of the two-month drought is all too clear - barren fields where crops should be maturing.
The impact is visible from the sky more so than from the ground...as Doug Hackbarth from Broadview Florists took us up. Without significant rain, the situation will get worse, and we'll all soon be seeing the cost of this when we go to the grocery.
