Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Manchester University held an open house Wednesday night to show off their new College of Pharmacy.
It's the only school of its kind in Northeast Indiana.
The 82,000 square foot facility qualifies for Silver LEED Award for green and energy efficiency. It features fuel efficient car parking spaces, light sensors that brighten and dim based on time of day and a geo-thermal heating and cooling system. The facility also has 2100 square feet of meeting space and conference rooms and labs that licensed practitioners can rent and use.
The college opens when classes begin August 13th. The Dean says 70 students are currently enrolled, many from California, Texas and New York. Their hope is the school will be a great asset to the area.
