Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Northeast Indiana's orthopaedic footprint grew Monday with the opening a new manufacturing center in Fort Wayne.

Great Batch Medical executives were on hand as the 80,000 square feet facility was dedicated.

The $17 million investment is the 3rd project in as many years to open in Indiana. Company leaders say Indiana's business climate and workforce helped secure the latest investment.

The orthopaedic center will develop instruments for hip procedures and spine fixation. It will employ 110 workers with high wage jobs and expansion is already in the works.
