COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) --- A box truck rammed into the back of a stopped semi truck this morning killing the driver of the box truck.

The accident on westbound US30 at CR300E happened shortly before 9:30 this morning. Traffic was down to one lane westbound. Eastbound traffic was not impacted.

Parkview's Samaritan Flight flew to the scene but then left without transporting anyone.

Authorities on scene say it appears to them that the westbound semi truck had stopped for a red light at CR300E but that box truck driver never tried to stop or hit his brakes and slammed into the back of the semi at full speed.

Both trucks were from Ohio.
